WEBSITE
The design and messaging goal of this website was approachability and a clear call to action.
Research of competitors’ showed most Medicare websites had lengthy, dry copy and stilted photos. To set the client apart, bold, colorful photography is used to create a friendly, upbeat vibe.
Launched during Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period, the site’s navigation invites users to schedule an appointment to discuss plan options, prompted by text links and buttons. A click thru takes users to the agency’s newly implemented calendar system allowing them to choose a time, date, and in-person meeting or telephone consultation. The new system was heavily promoted through direct mail, digital advertising, and e-blasts. The result increased early meeting sign ups for new and existing clients, and has reduced the agency's admin team's telephone/email scheduling time by 60%.

BIRTHDAY CARD
This memorable piece is mailed to Boomers who are a year away from being eligible for Medicare. The birthday card gives a playful nod to The Beatle's song, "When I'm Sixty-Four."
While the humor and the iconic lyrics provide a hook, the card's underlying message conveys that West LA Baby Boomer Insurance Services is committed to having a long-term relationship with its clients.

MEDICARE BENEFITS BOOKLET
This 12-page booklet explains how basic Medicare works and includes valuable information regarding supplemental insurance and drug plans. It also allows both new and current Medicare recipients to identify their medical and coverage needs by providing helpful worksheets. The text is straightforward but personable, a departure from the sometimes dry and technical copy used to describe government programs.
Special attention is paid to photography. Happy, active seniors are shown throughout, helping to lessen the age stigma associated with qualifying for Medicare.
